The successful individual will be able to meaningfully contribute, drive, participate in the growth of Nuveen in the French market. He/she will be surrounded by a talented team and will be expected to bring expertise, credibility, energy and commercial thinking. Key responsibilities Drive sourcing and execution of investment opportunities across France/Southern Europe. In collaboration with all stakeholders, generate deal flow, deploy capital and create long term value for firm/clients. Oversight of development, leasing and asset/property management as portfolio evolves. Develop and maintain strong relevant market contacts with occupiers, owners, operators of real estate, banks, advisors, local authorities and tenants. Become an integral part of the firm, representing business both internally and externally. Become a key ambassador for Nuveen across the French/European market. Collaborate and leverage off the group’s existing team to build and develop a high performing business over time Qualifications & Experience Required A minimum of 7 years investment, development and asset management experience on the French (European) real estate / logistics market. Demonstrable experience in investing in the logistics sector Excellent demonstrable and qualitative investment and development track record. Strong product and market knowledge Excellent financial, legal, technical/property grounding and the ability to identify potential risk. Established network within the French (European) real estate/logistics community. This includes relationships with owners, developers, brokers and ideally with tenants. Fluent written and spoken French and English. Competencies Required Builds and sustains excellent relationships across multiple levels both internally and externally. Excellent presentation, communication and relationship management skills. Strong team player/collective mindset but also with autonomy, drive and high level of ownership. Strong negotiation skills balanced with genuine appreciation of risk factors. “Hands on” and focused on results with a strong attention to detail. International mindset. Open minded and flexible with the ability to understand the philosophy and cultural nuances of working for Nuveen. Possesses intellectual confidence with an ego in check.
