Investment Operations Manager — Job D escription An Investment Operations Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining client accounts, both directly and through leadership of a team, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering excellent customer service. They act as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting account growth Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Onboarding: Provide ongoing support via phone, email, or in-person to ensure successful onboarding and engagement of clients Account Management: Maintain accurate account information, update records, and manage customer data in assigned territories Problem Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve customer issues promptly to ensure satisfaction Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, engineering, and product teams to improve services and meet customer needs Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports, quotes, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders Relationship Building: Strengthen client relationships to promote retention and drive new business Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, standards, and company policies Typical Work Environment Location: Often office-based, with possible travel to meet clients Schedule: Standard 40-hour workweek (Mon–Fri), but may work weekends or evenings for urgent issues Tools: Accounting software, CRM systems, and communication platforms Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (some roles accept associate degrees or high school diploma with relevant experience) Experience: 2+ years in accounting or customer service roles; experience with CRM systems (SalesForce preferred) Certifications: CFP or equivalent may be preferred Required Skills Technical: Proficiency in accounting software, CRM, and data management tools Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions Customer Focus: Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and maintain high service standards Physical Requirements Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based work. Frequently operate a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Occasionally move throughout the office environment. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, visitors, vendors, and employees. Work Environment Professional office environment. Regular interaction with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders. Standard business hours with occasional additional hours as business needs require. Limited travel may occasionally be required.
