About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Performance Manager to join the High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth Client Investment Performance Reporting team within Wealth Investments Management Operations.


This manager will lead a team responsible for reconciling and controlling client account data within performance reporting applications, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of investment performance reporting. The role focuses on ensuring data consistency across systems, strengthening operational controls, driving process improvements, and developing innovative solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.


Success in this role requires close partnership with third-party vendors, Wells Fargo Technology, operational partners, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational controls, risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks while supporting critical business objectives.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage, develop, and lead teams of individual contributors to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and hiring support to build a high-performing organization
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation of accounting and performance data across reporting platforms through effective controls and governance
  • Provide expertise for technical, operational and processing functions related to performance reporting and performance data management
  • Lead resolution of escalated issues involving performance calculation, reporting accuracy, data integrity, or client deliverables
  • Manage staffing, capacity planning, workload prioritization, and resource allocation to meet operational commitments and strategic objectives
  • Partner with technology teams to prioritize system enhancements, resolve production issues, and ensure operational stability
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within performance reporting and data management
  • Develop policies and procedures for functions within scope of responsibility across functional areas
  • Work with more experienced management to develop and execute business strategies
  • Build strong partnerships and influence stakeholders, business partners, peers, and leaders across all organizational levels to achieve business objectives and drive positive outcomes.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience overseeing the reconciliation of client account data between core accounting systems and performance applications, including account, asset, transaction, and holdings data.
  • 2+ years of experience in risk management, including issues management, corrective actions, control design, implementation, and oversight.
  • Industry experience analyzing data drivers that impact investment performance results and identifying outlier returns to diagnose issues and drive remediation efforts.
  • Skilled at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the team’s business-as-usual activities.
  • Transformational leader with the ability to drive innovative solutions and increase efficiency through technology tools such as Copilot, Alteryx, Xceptor, and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to partner with a wide range of stakeholders including operational teams, business partners, and third-party vendors
  • Proven track record of delivering results and making sound decisions when solving complex problems.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and collaborate across teams to meet deliverable requirements.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Teams, and SharePoint.


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote at posted location (1525 W. W T Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC)
  • US only: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 99 examination, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
