ABOUT NONPUBLIC
Pre-IPO access has long been an institutional privilege. NonPublic changes that. We give over 1,000 wholesale investors direct access to the world’s most sought-after private companies, including SpaceX, OpenAI, Canva, and Anduril, through ASIC-regulated unit trusts and SPVs.
We are a modern private markets platform built by founders, for the investors who were previously locked out.
ROLE SUMMARY
TEAM: Investor Relations
REPORTS TO: Head of Investor Relations
LOCATION: Indonesia - Remote
TYPE: Full-time, permanent
LEVEL: Associate · 4+ years experience
THE ROLE
Every NonPublic investor, from family offices to sophisticated individuals, relies on a capable and organised counterpart at NonPublic. That is the role.
As Investor Relations Associate, you own the investor lifecycle from the moment an investor commits through to the final distribution of proceeds. You will coordinate deal closes, quarterly reporting, distributions and exits, keep investors informed as their positions move toward liquidity, and act as the day-to-day point of contact across deals, documentation and reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Investor experience
- Primary point of contact for investor enquiries on deals, valuations, distributions, fees and carry, and reporting.
- Draft investor communications: deal updates, quarterly updates, distribution notices, correction notices and the investor newsletter, in plain, precise language suited to a wholesale audience.
- Run onboarding calls with new investors, follow up with those who have not yet booked, and guide them through the platform and their first commitment.
- Manage intermediary and wealth manager relationships, coordinating instructions and elections on behalf of their underlying clients.
- Handle structure queries from Australian and international investors, templating recurring answers.
- Respond to due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and structured investor requests accurately and on time.
Deal lifecycle & distributions
- Coordinate deal closes: allocation confirmations, subscription documents and closing communications with legal, finance and the investment team.
- Run follow-on allocations and pro-rata offers to existing investors, including election windows and cut-off dates.
- Monitor the deal book for liquidity events (IPOs, M&A, tender offers, secondaries) and prepare timely investor notices when a portfolio company announces a transaction.
- Manage post-IPO share release and divestment programs: lock-up tranche schedules, legend removal, brokerage transfers, and investor hold, sell or transfer elections against firm deadlines.
- Prepare distribution notices and reconcile proceeds through layered structures, checking upstream vehicle deductions, NonPublic carry and the resulting investor payout before anything is sent.
- Coordinate with upstream vehicle managers, brokers, transfer agents and banks to move shares and proceeds from the underlying investment through to investors.\
- Support the quarterly valuation cycle: collect NAV updates from the investment team, update investor positions and issue quarterly statements.
Records, process & remediation
- Maintain the CRM, platform records and data room so positions, fee terms and communication history are current and audit-ready.
- Build investor handbooks, FAQs and template responses so recurring questions on release schedules, waterfalls and downstream processes are answered consistently.
- Track investor issues and disputes through to resolution, escalating fee, carry and valuation disputes with a clear recommendation.
- Draft remediation communications when a transaction does not go to plan: what happened, the options available to investors, and next steps.
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-haves
- 4+ years in investor relations or fund operations within private equity, venture, alternatives or wealth management platforms.
- Working knowledge of SPV, unit trust, LP/GP and co-investment structures, and how carry works across layered vehicles.
- Familiarity with how private company shares reach public markets: lock-ups, share transfers and brokerage processes.
- Strong written communication suited to a sophisticated investor audience, including explaining fee and distribution outcomes plainly.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and comfort with CRMs and investor portals.
HOW YOU OPERATE
- Precision. You apply rigorous standards to documentation, numbers and investor communications.
- Stakeholder management. You build trust with sophisticated counterparties and manage expectations proactively.
