IoT Project Manager

Location: Remote from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh

Rainscales Vietnam are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support our IoT team in Vietnam. The ideal candidate will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of IoT and smart device product builds with our contractors in Vietnam and China, connecting Overhaul's product and technical requirements with their hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and production teams. The role will maintain delivery cadence, track

milestones and dependencies, surface risks early, and help ensure samples, testing, certifications, and production readiness stay on schedule.

This role is based in Vietnam and will report into Overhaul's IoT organization. The role will work across time zones with teams in Vietnam, China, and the United States.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

● Coordinate day-to-day project activities between Overhaul and our contractors in Vietnam and China across hardware, firmware, sample builds, testing, certifications, and production;

● Maintain product build plans from requirements and engineering samples through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production, with clear owners, dates, dependencies, and risks;

● Lead recurring project working sessions and status reviews, capture decisions and actions, and drive follow-up to closure;

● Track product requirements, change requests, specifications, test results, build documentation, and release information, ensuring version control and accessibility for stakeholders;

● Coordinate QA and testing for connected devices, including issue triage and resolution across our contractors, IoT, application, and cloud teams;

● Track sample availability, component or BOM constraints, certification activities, and production readiness in partnership with IoT and sourcing teams;

● Identify and escalate schedule, quality, technical, supplier, or dependency risks early, with a clear view of impact and next steps;

● Support handoff from development to production, ensuring open issues, acceptance criteria, and readiness actions are understood before each major build stage;

● Use Jira, Asana, or similar tools to keep project status current and provide clear, concise reporting to the IoT team.

REQUIREMENT

● Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields;

● 2-4 years of experience in technical project coordination or project management, ideally within IoT, electronics, hardware, embedded systems, or manufacturing environments;

● Experience working directly with contract manufacturers, OEM/ODM partners, suppliers, or engineering teams on physical product delivery;

● Working knowledge of the hardware product development lifecycle and how hardware, firmware, connectivity, application, and cloud components fit together;

● Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, track details, and follow through on commitments.

● Fluent in both English and Vietnamese, written and spoken, with the ability to coordinate effectively across international teams and partners.
