Ingeus is a leading human services provider helping people, business and communities thrive through employment, skills and health & wellbeing services. We are a trusted partner to government and industry delivering services that create positive social impact and transform lives.
Subject to successful contract award
Help people build brighter futures through meaningful work.
Are you passionate about supporting people with mental and/or physical health needs to find meaningful, sustainable employment?
We are inviting expressions of interest from enthusiastic, driven individuals for potential IPS Employment Specialist opportunities based in community locations across Leeds and Bradford. You will travel across a range of community locations, supporting local people in the places most accessible to them. These opportunities are subject to the successful award of new contracts.
What you’ll do
- Provide tailored employment support: Take a proactive, flexible and hands-on approach to help people with complex challenges secure meaningful work, recognising that the journey does not end at job start and providing ongoing in-work support to help them settle, thrive and sustain employment.
- Build strong local partnerships: Work closely with local government, NHS integrated care systems, voluntary organisations and community partners to deliver joined-up support.
- Manage a focused caseload: Provide personalised one-to-one support for people who are out of work, or have never worked, because of a disability or long-term health condition. This may include CV writing, job-search strategies and in-work support.
- Engage employers: Develop lasting employer relationships and create opportunities that reflect each person’s strengths, goals and aspirations.
- Champion inclusive workplaces: Deliver disability-awareness support that helps employers create welcoming, accessible and supportive workplaces.
What you’ll bring
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to respond positively to change and think on your feet.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- A sound understanding of employment services, welfare-to-work programmes and the challenges people may face when returning to work.
- Confidence in networking, building relationships and engaging employers and community organisations.
Desirable, but not essential
- Knowledge of, or experience working with, IPS/SEQF models and principles.
- Experience supporting people with complex needs, including disabilities or long-term health conditions.
- A background in community outreach, stakeholder engagement or employment services.
A role where results and purpose go hand in hand
This is a performance-focused role with clear expectations around referrals, job starts and sustained employment. More importantly, it is an opportunity to make a lasting difference by helping people build confidence, independence and a future through work.
Interested in joining us? Submit your expression of interest to be considered for opportunities if the contracts are awarded. We particularly welcome interest from people who live in, or have strong knowledge of, the West Yorkshire delivery areas.
