  • SUBJECT TO CONTRACT AWARD*****************************************

At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.

Are you passionate about helping people with mental and /or physical health support needs find meaningful, sustainable employment? Do you want to be part of a service that transforms lives through work, inclusion, and wellbeing?

We’re looking for enthusiastic and driven IPS Service Managers to join our team — subject to the successful award of new contracts in West Yorkshire covering Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield & Kirklees.

About The Role

As an IPS Service Manager , you will oversee the day to day delivery and overall performance of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) contract. Combining vision and direction with strong relationship building and people management skills, you will take accountability for project performance across our own delivery area. You will need to have an expert understanding of Individual Placement and Support, the fidelity scale and how that interacts with the IPS fidelity manual.

You will be responsible for managing Team Leader(s) which will involve providing regular supervision around IPS practice issues, as well as support around complex staffing and caseload issues. Whilst this is a home-based role you will be expected to be in your area of delivery for face-to-face meetings for at least half the week.

Your role will involve building partnerships with local NHS Trusts, employment providers and referral sources as well as maintaining partnerships with stakeholders and commissioners.

You will work in partnership with local health team managers, ensuring the IPS Service is embedded in clinical settings, community groups and referral partners. You will also build positive working relationships with external partners, most notable NHS England and IPS Grow.

This is a performance-focused role, with clear targets around referrals, job starts, and sustained employment. But more than that, it’s about changing lives.

We welcome applicants from local residents in the areas of delivery.

Areas of Delivery

Please indicate in your supporting statement whether you are interested in working in:

  • Leeds
  • Bradford
  • Wakefield
  • Kirklees

This is a home based role with regular travel into the delivery area for team/management meetings, Commissioner meetings and stakeholder engagement.

Recruitment Timeline

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre on:

14th or 15th October - Leeds

20th or 21st October - Huddersfield

Should we be successful in winning this contract, IPS Employment Specialists will start induction on Monday 30th November 2026.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and motivate a full contract team to deliver and exceptional IPS service to local participants..
  • Provide regular supervision and coaching to maintain quality standards and improve outcomes.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and fidelity measures, implementing improvement plans where needed.
  • Build strong relationships with Commissioners, NHS teams, referral partners, and local stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with local NHS Trusts, employment providers, referral sources, and commissioners.
  • Developing positive relationships with external stakeholders, including NHS England and IPS Grow.

What You’ll Bring

  • A genuine passion for helping others achieve their potential
  • Excellent management qualities to lead and inspire your team
  • Track record of success in target-driven environments, with the ability to drive performance.
  • Commercial and business acumen and understanding of managing a contract
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Experience working with people with health needs
