Job Description Intuitive Surgical seeks an Anaplan Lead to support Non-Project/Production Support within the IT/Information Systems function. This is a 1-year contract (no conversion) based onsite in Sunnyvale, CA (B108/B109 at 1090 Kifer Rd.), with an expectation of onsite presence 3 days per week per the latest WOW policy. The role backfills a current position and reports to Manager. The team currently has three offshore Anaplan modelers (India) working in PST, and the Anaplan portfolio has expanded with five active plans. Key responsibilities: - Serve as the Anaplan Lead, acting as the primary liaison with business users and stakeholders. - Lead and mentor a small team of three offshore Anaplan modelers; provide guidance, code reviews, and best practices. - Be hands-on with Anaplan model building, including design and development of models and modules to meet FP&A planning and forecasting needs (Revenue, Expense, Headcount). - Gather and analyze business requirements; document functional requirements; validate designs with stakeholders. - Create test plans and test cases; execute testing and support UAT; ensure solution quality and adherence to Anaplan best practices. - Develop complex calculations, manage data imports/exports, and build/maintain integration workflows. - Support FP&A forecasting cycles and month-end close activities, including working after business hours as needed. - Communicate effectively through documentation, presentations, and email; provide clear status and updates. Must-have qualifications: - Anaplan Level 3 Model Builder certification. - 3–5 years of business analyst experience (requirements gathering/analysis and functional documentation). - Minimum 3 years of hands-on Anaplan model building with at least one end-to-end implementation. - Minimum 2 years of experience managing/leading a small team of Anaplan modelers. - Strong understanding of FP&A processes and modeling for revenue, expense, and headcount planning/forecasting. - Experience creating and executing test plans and test cases. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and professional email. Work arrangement and candidate preferences: - Onsite in Sunnyvale, CA, 3 days per week (per latest WOW policy). First preference: local candidates. Second: non-locals who will relocate and be onsite from day one. Third: remote considered only for exceptional candidates. - Offshore team collaboration in PST.
