The Shared Services Center in Sofia plays a key role in this global network, delivering reliable internal IT and a wide range of essential services to support KOSTAL’s subsidiaries worldwide. Overall Purpose of Job: IT Business Continuity Manager aligns directly with the Chief Information Security Officer as a member of the KOSTAL Information Security Management Office. Defining, operating and developing the BCM system, which covers IT services supporting corporate business processes. It includes business impact analysis, risk assessment and BC plans, preparations and approvals by management. Maintain the operations phase of the BCM system, which includes updating the plans and procedures, preparing, testing and conducting regular drills and exercises for BCM plans, verifying the adequacy of the BC and DRC plans as well as implementing any improvements. Support in establishing and maintaining the enterprise risk register and Business Impact Analysis by coordinating with all business units in the company. Consulting process, service and infrastructure owner, and IT managers throughout the KOSTAL organization worldwide, in BC related topics. Key Responsibilities Advise senior management on business continuity requirements and support the fulfillment of BCM responsibilities. Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business continuity and IT disaster recovery plans, policies, and procedures. Conduct and facilitate business impact analyses, risk assessments, and related BCM documentation. Partner closely with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure BCM measures are implemented, monitored, and aligned with organizational requirements. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate regular business continuity exercises and tests, and drive improvements based on outcomes. Act as a key coordinator during disruption events, working with crisis and emergency management teams to support effective response and recovery. Ensure critical recovery materials are available offline and that recovery and war room processes are fit for purpose. Oversee regular testing of technical recovery capabilities and ensure updates are made following significant changes. Deliver training and awareness programs to ensure employees understand their business continuity roles and responsibilities. Organize and support BCM self-assessments, audits, and reviews, and follow up on agreed actions. Support business units in maintaining, reviewing, and testing their continuity plans, BIAs, and risk assessments. Ensure the BCM framework remains compliant with applicable laws, standards, and best practices. Coordinate with external emergency response partners and service providers as needed. Maintain relevant inputs to the company risk register and support ongoing risk reporting. Participate in multidisciplinary crisis response teams and contribute to remediation efforts during critical incidents. Experiences and requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, preferably in manufacturing and logistics, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training. Work experiences – time/seniority/ sector: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a large organization, preferably in manufacturing or logistics. Technical/ IT knowledge and soft skills: Knowledge of regulations in regards of business continuity management or cyber resilience, standards, and best practices. Basic technical understanding in IT infrastructure relationships. Ability to explain BCM concepts and requirements to people outside the field and make them understandable. Applies a methodical approach to routine and moderately complex issue definition and resolution. Applies and contributes to creative thinking or finds new ways to complete tasks. Language – with level Fluent English Required Skills and Competencies: Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Good managerial skills in a diverse workforce setting. Able to remain open and to develop and maintain good working relations with all stakeholders.
