About the Role

We are seeking an IT Co-Leader to partner closely with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in steering our IT team toward success. This dual-role position combines leadership and hands-on development, requiring both strategic oversight and technical expertise.

As the IT Co-Leader, you will collaborate with the CTO to guide our talented IT team, comprising junior to senior developers and system administrators, ensuring alignment with organization’s goals. You’ll oversee IT initiatives, drive product decisions, and provide expert technical direction.

Simultaneously, as the Lead Software Developer, you will actively contribute to coding, architecture, and critical projects, setting high standards for the team. Your deep technical expertise will be essential in mentoring developers, optimizing workflows, and delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define a clear vision for the technological landscape and architecture.
• Make executive technology decisions to guide the project.
• Ensure that technology practices adhere to industry best standards.
• Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for our developers.
• Conduct code reviews or provide direct individual feedback.
• Delegate work packages efficiently and bridge communication between teams.
• Contribute hands-on to development tasks, particularly in areas requiring expertise.
• Supervise and guide the IT team to achieve milestones within timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in leading and mentoring a technical team.
• Proven expertise in building and deploying applications.
• In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices and methodologies.
• Proficiency in managing technical timelines and cross-department communication.
• Strong hands-on technical background, with the ability to code and solve complex technical challenges.



Technical Skills Required

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or another popular programming language.
• Frameworks & Libraries: Experience with frontend (PHP, React.js, Vue.js) and backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, Flask).
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deployment and scalability.
• DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Database Management: Expertise in both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, Firebase) databases.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git and collaborative development practices.
• Testing: Experience with automated testing tools and test-driven development (TDD).
• UI/UX Collaboration: Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles for working with designers.

Several hours per week (5-8 hours).
