Role Description This is a hands-on technical role within a small, supportive IT team. You'll work alongside the Head of IT and another IT Engineer, providing IT support while getting exposure to endpoint management, security operations and automation. It's a great next step for someone early in their IT career who wants to build broad, modern skills - Microsoft 365, Intune, security tooling, AI, automation and scripting - with proper guidance and room to grow. This isn’t a run-of-the-mill service desk role, it’s a chance to develop technically in a small, fast-moving team where you'll see the impact of your work directly. Key responsibilities IT Operations & Support Provide IT support across the business, escalating complex issues to the Head of IT where needed Help manage and maintain the endpoint fleet (~150 devices) using Microsoft Intune - compliance policies, configuration profiles, application packaging and deployment Administration of the Microsoft 365 environment (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) Assist with the device lifecycle, from provisioning through to retirement, working with our logistics partner Help maintain and improve the IT service desk, including workflows and reporting Assist with hardware procurement and coordination with the logistics vendor for deployment, retrieval, repair and recycling Security & Compliance Support day-to-day management of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint - helping investigate alerts and monitor policies Help support security awareness initiatives across the business Build an understanding of security and compliance frameworks, and contribute ideas to improve security posture over time Automation & Projects Develop automations using Power Automate, PowerShell, Python and APIs to reduce manual IT work Support joiner/mover/leaver workflows, licence management, device provisioning, and reporting Contribute to IT projects across security, infrastructure, and tooling Skills, experience, and attributes UK-based, with right to work in the UK - essential Early to mid-career IT professional Hands-on exposure to Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender) Understanding of identity and access management and conditional access concepts Comfortable troubleshooting across Windows, macOS, and cloud services Strong interest in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, APIs) - prior experience is highly desirable, but not a requirement Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote environment, while knowing when to ask for support Interest in AI tools and their application to IT operations Desirable Exposure to Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms (e.g. Zapier, Make, UI Path) Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Freshservice, Halo, or similar) Previous work experience in a startup or scale-up environment Ability to showcase something you’ve built or automated - a GitHub repo, a script, or even a screen recording Benefits 27 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays (with a buy option up to an additional 5 days) Enhanced Maternity and Paternity leave AXA Health insurance including dental, optical and mental health Broadband allowance Home office stipend Life assurance (4 x basic salary) Encouraged and funded CPD Company pension scheme Locations UK remote Remote status Fully Remote
