IT Helpdesk Support Administrator | €40,000–€45,000 + Benefits | Hybrid | Dublin City Centre

Our client, a leading professional services organisation in Ireland with an established international presence, is looking for an IT Helpdesk Support Administrator to join its IT team in Dublin City Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting end users and working with a broad range of technologies.

You'll gain hands-on exposure to enterprise IT systems, collaborate with experienced IT professionals and contribute to projects that improve how technology supports the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide 1st and 2nd Level IT Support, troubleshooting hardware, software and system issues.
  • Manage helpdesk tickets, prioritise requests and monitor resolution times against SLAs.
  • Configure, deploy and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
  • Support business applications, including email, document management systems and Citrix.
  • Provide technical support for meeting room technology, audio-visual equipment and video conferencing.
  • Assist with user onboarding, workstation setups and office moves.
  • Monitor IT systems using reporting tools and dashboards to identify potential issues.
  • Respond to information security queries and support IT best practices.
  • Work closely with the Senior IT team on infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives and IT projects.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on IT Helpdesk experience, providing direct 1st and 2nd level technical and system support to the business and to end users.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken English and the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and work effectively under pressure.
  • Teamwork and adaptability, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Flexibility to support occasional ad-hoc IT duties and working hours when required.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in identifying opportunities to optimise and automate IT processes.

Nice to have:

Experience with any of the following technologies would be an advantage, but is not essential:

  • Microsoft Technologies: Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Exchange and Azure.
  • Hardware Support: Laptop imaging, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Document Management Systems: iManage, BigHand or similar professional services applications.
  • Virtualisation and Remote Access: Citrix and virtualisation technologies.
  • Infrastructure: Networking fundamentals and Windows Server (2016, 2019 or 2025).

You don't need experience with every technology listed above. We're particularly interested in candidates with strong IT support fundamentals and the motivation to develop their technical expertise.

If you're passionate about IT, enjoy helping people and want to build your career in a professional environment where you can make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

This opportunity offers the chance to strengthen your technical skills, gain exposure to a variety of enterprise technologies and become a valued member of a collaborative IT team.
