The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer leads the design, delivery, and improvement of company's infrastructure services, ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performing platforms. The role provides expert technical leadership, 3rd and 4th line support, mentors engineers, and drives infrastructure projects and standards.

Job description

• Design, implement, and support server, cloud, network, storage, and virtualisation platforms.
• Manage Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Azure, and core infrastructure services.
• Lead the deployment and optimisation of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewall, and VPN technologies.
• Define and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, and roadmaps.
• Design and maintain lifecycle management activities including upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and technology refreshes.
• Implement and oversee backup, disaster recovery, and security controls.
• Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, and transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support for complex issues.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and project
• Specialisation: Senior Engineers maintain broad infrastructure expertise while acting as subject matter experts in areas such as cloud infrastructure, networking, security, virtualisation, backup and recovery, identity services, or automation.

Requirements for the employee

• Significant experience supporting and delivering enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Significant experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Azure, networking, and core infrastructure services.
• Experience with SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switching, and routing technologies.
• Proven delivery of infrastructure projects and transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with PowerShell and infrastructure automation.
• Strong stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Very good English language skills
