IT Operations Coordinator | Remote | South Africa | EST Times

Safhire is a staffing partner connecting skilled South African professionals with US-based businesses. We're hiring an IT Operations Coordinator to support a US based business.

This is a great fit if you're organized, tech-savvy, strong in Excel, and enjoy keeping IT operations running smoothly behind the scenes, without needing to write code.

About the role:

You'll take routine technical and administrative work off the plate of the company's developers and IT team, so they can focus on higher-value projects. You'll be the go-to person for tickets, permissions, documentation, and process, someone who can run with things independently once shown the ropes.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and reviewing data for projects
• Writing and organizing processes and SOPs
• Tracking project communications
• Monitoring incoming tickets and assigning them promptly to the right person
• Managing security-awareness training, including tracking simulated phishing results and coordinating follow-up training
• Handling software permission requests and changes
• Providing general administrative support to the IT department
• Potentially building basic automations in Monday.com down the line

What we're looking for:

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Good work ethic and a can-do attitude
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas
• Technical aptitude and basic IT knowledge
• Prior IT experience (this is not a coding or software development role)
• Available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM EST
