IT Product Owner - UBSend We usually respond within two weeks IT Product Owner About this Opportunity UBsend is a growing scale-up and is continuing to build a holistic digital platform for the fast-moving e-tail, retail and logistics sector. As part of that journey, we are strengthening our dedicated Product Owner team and looking for someone who can help shape products, connect technology with real business needs and contribute to how the product function develops. You will join the Business Development & Implementation team and report to Jonas Højlund, Director of Product and Business Strategy. The team drives digital product development across the organisation and works closely with the PMO, technology teams, customers and stakeholders in areas including operations, finance, procurement and sales. This role will focus primarily on user-facing applications for clients and internal teams. You will work across front-end experiences and the supporting back-end services, helping UBsend complete its transition from a legacy platform and build scalable applications that replace disconnected, business-critical tools. You will be the voice of the business to the development teams: close enough to customers, users, and stakeholders to understand the real needs, and technically fluent enough to translate business strategy, commercial opportunities, and operational requirements into a clear product direction and an actionable backlog. About the Role Own and prioritise the backlog for one or more product domains, ensuring development teams have a healthy pipeline of clearly defined, ready work. Define and communicate the product vision with business stakeholders, translating UBsend’s strategy, customer needs and operational requirements into clear product priorities. Turn complex needs into well-defined epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria, balancing business value, customer impact, technical complexity and delivery capacity. Act as the link between Business Development, Technology, customers and internal stakeholders, building a strong understanding of their operations and commercial objectives. Accept completed work on behalf of the business and support the successful adoption of new functionality. Help modernise UBsend’s digital platform by completing the transition from legacy and disconnected tools to scalable, integrated product capabilities. Contribute to user-facing and internal products across areas such as pricing, invoicing, linehaul management, analytics and e-commerce. Collaborate with Project Managers, developers and the Scrum Master on strategic initiatives and continuous product improvements. Use customer feedback, operational insights and market developments to identify opportunities for digitalisation, automation and new product capabilities. Your Experience Around three to five years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, with hands-on ownership of digital products. Strong practical knowledge of Agile product development, including backlog management, prioritisation, user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience working closely with software development teams on user-facing applications, with enough technical understanding to discuss APIs, integrations and data flows. Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to translate between customers, business stakeholders and technology teams in English. Strong analytical judgement and the ability to prioritise based on business value and customer impact. A proactive, autonomous approach and the ability to create structure as priorities evolve in a scale-up environment. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools, and knowledge of parcel logistics, e-commerce, fulfilment or transport management systems, would be advantageous. Success in this Role Product capabilities create measurable value for customers and the business. The development team has a healthy, prioritised backlog aligned with UBsend’s strategy and roadmap. Business Development, Technology and Commercial priorities remain closely aligned. New functionality is successfully adopted by customers and internal teams.
