Description

The IT Project Coordinator supports the IT Project Management Office and Project Managers in coordinating project delivery, quality governance, software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, testing, documentation, and compliance. This role works closely with cross-functional Agile teams, including business stakeholders, developers, analysts, testers, vendors, and technical teams.

The successful candidate will manage assigned project tasks, coordinate quality and testing activities, maintain project documentation, monitor risks and dependencies, and support project planning and reporting. Strong communication, organization, meeting facilitation, analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with project plans, schedules, quality plans, test status reporting, and stage-gate presentations.

• Coordinate project quality, SDLC, compliance, and testing activities across technical, functional, vendor, and business teams.

• Maintain project repositories and ensure documentation, approvals, testing evidence, and project artifacts are current and audit-ready.

• Monitor and report project risks, issues, dependencies, impacts, quality metrics, testing status, and compliance status.

• Support Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.

• Develop and maintain SDLC/Quality Plans, Test Plans, Test Approaches, test schedules, quality documentation, and testing evidence.

• Facilitate peer reviews, test kickoffs, daily defect review meetings, quality inspections, and project status meetings.

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end testing activities, including system, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Define testing scope, strategy, timelines, entry and exit criteria, and success metrics with functional and technical teams.

• Coordinate test environment, test data, testing tools, and access readiness.

• Guide project and business resources in developing test scenarios and test scripts.

• Manage the defect lifecycle, including intake, triage, prioritization, tracking, reporting, retesting, and closure.

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to analyze defects, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.

• Manage the impact of project changes on testing scope, schedules, quality, and execution.

• Coordinate performance testing discovery, strategy, scenarios, workload models, execution plans, and results analysis.

• Develop, maintain, and execute OpenText LoadRunner performance and load test scripts, including Virtual User Generator scripting, parameterization, correlation, scenario configuration, and execution.

• Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks and risks, and coordinate remediation and retesting.

• Escalate quality, compliance, SDLC, testing, and audit-readiness risks as appropriate.

• Prepare presentations, reports, metrics, and status updates for project and leadership stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience as an IT project team member; Quality Analyst experience preferred.

• Strong project coordination, meeting facilitation, and test lead skills.

• Experience coordinating IT and business stakeholders and supporting automated performance testing.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify and assess project risks.

• Proven leadership, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Ability to manage multiple project assignments, prioritize workload, and work independently with limited supervision.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills across all organizational levels.

• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative approaches.

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including SOX controls, as applicable to IT projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Quality management application experience with OpenText ALM/Quality Center.

• OpenText LoadRunner Cloud and Virtual User Generator scripting experience.

• Experience with Planview tools, including AgilePlace, ProjectPlace, and Portfolio.

• Power BI report creation experience.

• Knowledge of GitLab, Confluence, and other Agile collaboration tools.

• Experience with automated testing tools and processes.

• Agile or Scrum certification/training.

• Project management certification.

• Knowledge of AI tools and AI agents.
