IT Project Manager

We are looking to hire a IT Project Manager Based in Greece (Hybrid/Remote Role)|Position Code: ITP - 0626 About VIPA VIPA is a European multinational company, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a rapidly expanding Paper and Board Division and a leading position in the global recycling and recovered material trading.We are looking for a hands-on IT Project Manager / PMO Lead to build our PMO function from the ground up. This is a greenfield opportunity - you will define the frameworks, introduce the governance standards, and drive the delivery of multiple concurrent IT projects across a growing technology organisation. The ideal candidate combines solid project delivery experience with the strategic mindset to establish lasting PMO practices. You will have direct visibility with senior leadership and report to the CTO. Why VIPA? Key Responsibilities ​ Design and establish the PMO from scratch Define governance frameworks, standards, templates, and best practices Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent IT projects and workstreams Own project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Track and report on performance, risks, issues, and dependencies Provide structured reporting to the CTO and senior stakeholders Coordinate cross-functional teams - Developers, Infrastructure, Business, and Vendors Facilitate steering committees and executive-level meetings Ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and PMO maturity Support portfolio management and prioritisation of initiatives Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management and/or PMO roles building or significantly maturing a PMO function Strong command of PMO governance models and project frameworks Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - from engineers to C-level Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Proficiency with project tracking tools Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment Experience bridging technical and non-technical teams Desired Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (CSM / PSM) Experience with Power BI or executive reporting dashboards Background in digital transformation or ERP / enterprise systems projects What we offer Competitive salary, according to experience and qualifications - Salary range will be disclosed prior to first interview Private health insurance Fully remote position - work from anywhere Competitive salary package A rare opportunity to build and own a PMO function from day one Direct collaboration with senior leadership and the CTO A dynamic, collaborative environment with genuine career development opportunities
