- We are looking for an experienced professional to take responsibility for the governance, oversight and continuous management of Transaction Monitoring models and model-related regulatory commitments.
- Own and maintain the model management roadmap, translating financial crime strategy, risk priorities, regulatory requirements and business needs into a clear and prioritised validation, remediation and governance plan.
- Drive model prioritisation activities, balancing model risk, regulatory commitments, validation findings, technical sustainability and available capacity.
- Work closely with Capability Leads, Model Owners and Subject Matter Experts to ensure model development, validation, implementation and ongoing monitoring activities are aligned with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate and oversee model validation activities, ensuring findings, recommendations, limitations, assumptions and model risks are appropriately documented, tracked and remediated.
- Partner with Model Risk Management, Financial Crime, Technology and Operations stakeholders to ensure validation requirements and intended outcomes are clearly understood and effectively addressed.
- Support coordination of model priorities, dependencies, remediation activities and governance outcomes across multiple Transaction Monitoring initiatives to ensure end-to-end model compliance and effectiveness.
- Define and communicate model governance priorities, validation outcomes, remediation plans and success measures, ensuring stakeholders understand key risks, decisions and required actions.
- Represent Transaction Monitoring models within governance, validation and prioritisation forums, ensuring attention is directed towards the highest-risk and highest-priority model matters.
- Maintain an end-to-end view of the model lifecycle, from model design and implementation through validation, approval, ongoing monitoring, change management, periodic review and retirement.
- Use validation results, model performance metrics, risk insights, regulatory feedback and stakeholder input to identify opportunities to improve model effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee the tracking and closure of model findings, audit observations, regulatory commitments and risk acceptance actions, ensuring timely remediation and robust evidence of compliance.
- Understand dependencies across Transaction Monitoring, data, technology, operations and wider Financial Crime capabilities and ensure these are appropriately reflected in model governance, validation and remediation decisions.
- Strong governance, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage dependencies, risks, issues and remediation plans across multiple workstreams.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear delivery plans.
- It is highly recommended to have projects in the portfolio within Financial Crime, AML or Transaction Monitoring area
