IT Specialist

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• You will own the technical aspects of our enterprise applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and stability throughout their lifecycle.

• You will design and implement new services, interfaces, upgrades, and migrations, continuously evolving the underlying application and database landscape.

• You will automate recurring tasks and establish clear standards, runbooks, and a modern monitoring, logging, and observability setup to ensure efficient handover of operational tasks, early detection of issues, and sustainable reduction of operational effort.

• You will holistically monitor service quality, analyze disruptions and performance issues, and derive sustainable improvements for users and operations.

• You will serve as the technical escalation point in 3rd level support, resolving complex incidents and technical challenges for internal stakeholders and project teams.

What You'll Need

• Several years of experience in engineering and operating business or web applications in enterprise environments, with solid practical expertise on Windows and Linux platforms.

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, a completed IT apprenticeship with an excellent final grade and relevant practical experience.

• You bring extensive practical experience with web application servers and relational databases, proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash for analyzing and resolving complex performance and operational issues, and solid experience in automation, observability, and modern operating platforms like Ansible, Grafana, OpenSearch, Docker, or Kubernetes.

• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Strong technical ownership, proactive problem-solving skills, a customer-oriented mindset, clear communication, and a drive for continuous improvement of platforms and processes.
