At Ignite Group, we empower businesses through technology and expertise. As our organization grows across the Netherlands and Germany, we are professionalizing and leveling up our internal IT environment. We are looking for an experienced, proactive IT Support & Systems Administrator to join our team, take ownership of our IT operations, and elevate our support standards across all locations.

Job Title: IT Support & Systems Administrator

Location: Deventer (or nearby), with flexibility and occasional travel to offices in NL & Germany

Employment: Fulltime (40u)

Department: Internal IT

Salary indication: Marktconform, op aanvraag

Role Overview

Working alongside our IT team, you will serve as the primary IT point of contact for our employees across the Netherlands and Germany. This is not just a standard ticketing role. We are seeking a knowledgeable IT professional who can manage daily service requests, optimize IT workflows, implement smart automations, and help bring our IT operations to a higher level of maturity.

Whether setting up devices, managing cloud services, or introducing automated processes to save time, you will play a key role in giving our team a smooth, reliable, and professional tech experience.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Support Management

  • ✔ End-User Support: Provide high-quality 1st and 2nd level support (on-site and remote) for users across all offices in the Netherlands and Germany.
  • ✔ Ticket & Incident Resolution: Own service requests and incidents from initial contact to final resolution with excellent communication and ownership.
  • ✔ Workplace Management: Manage physical desks, workstations, peripherals, and office IT setups across locations.

Systems Administration & Device Management

  • ✔ Microsoft 365 Administration: Day-to-day administration of users, licenses, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • ✔ MDM & Hardware Lifecycle: Manage Windows and Apple endpoints end-to-end (onboarding/offboarding, Intune/Autopilot deployment, patching, hardware provisioning).
  • ✔ Security & Compliance: Enforce baseline security practices including MFA, Conditional Access, endpoint protection (AV/EDR), access reviews, and backups.

IT Optimization & Automation

  • ✔ Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in recurring IT tasks and implement automation to save time and improve efficiency.
  • ✔ Standardization & Documentation: Build clear documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides to professionalize internal IT.
  • ✔ Vendor & Asset Coordination: Liaise with external vendors, ISP suppliers, and hardware providers as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Must-Haves

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support and systems administration (ideally gained at an IT Service Provider / MSP / Systems House or in a structured internal IT environment handling multiple setups).
  • Microsoft 365 & Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with M365 user administration, licensing, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Device & Endpoint Management: Solid background in Windows deployment, client support, setup, and device lifecycle management.
  • Networking Basics: Fundamentals of DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and office network infrastructure.
  • Automation Mindset: Ability and interest to script or use automated workflows (e.g., PowerShell, Intune policies) to streamline repetitive support tasks.
  • Intune: Experience with Microsoft Intune / Autopilot rollout and macOS management.
  • Languages: Fluent in English. Dutch and/or German is a plus.
  • Mobility: Willingness to occasionally travel between our offices in the Netherlands and Germany when on-site presence or setup is required.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Scripting: Scripting capabilities in PowerShell.
  • Security: Knowledge of Conditional Access policies, network security, or firewalls.
  • Frameworks: Understanding of the ITIL framework or SLA-based support structures.

Personal Attributes

  • ✔ Solution-Oriented & Proactive: You find practical fixes quickly and work toward long-term, scalable solutions.
  • ✔ Customer-Centric: Clear, patient, and friendly communication style when assisting technical and non-technical colleagues alike.
  • ✔ Self-Driven & Organized: Able to take ownership of projects and issues without constant supervision.
  • ✔ Curious & Adaptable: Eager to explore new technologies, learn tools, and drive continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • Salary & Bonus: A market-competitive salary, supplemented by an attractive bonus scheme and 8% holiday pay.
  • Vacation & Leisure: 30 days of annual leave (based on a full-time position), ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
  • Learning & Development: Unlimited access to the online learning platform GoodHabitz, alongside specialized training and opportunities for career advancement within our subsidy and innovation consultancy practice.
  • Mobility: A company car, a gross mobility budget, or an NS-Business Card for all business-related travel between our offices and client locations.
  • Hybrid Working & Allowances: Flexibility to work in a hybrid model (both at the office and from home), including a monthly work-from-home allowance and an internet allowance.
  • Hardware & IT: A modern company-provided laptop and smartphone (or a mobile phone allowance).
