Java Automation Tester

Our quality engineering team is looking for a talented Java Automation Tester who will design and execute automated testing solutions for both frontend and backend systems, maintaining strong standards of performance, security, and reliability across the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build test strategies and plans following BDD methodologies
• Establish acceptance criteria for software features
• Write automated test scripts for frontend (web, mobile) and backend (services) environments
• Oversee automation pipelines as part of CI/CD workflows
• Analyze performance test outcomes and deliver actionable recommendations
• Write scripts to support automated security testing
• Implement shift-left and shift-right testing approaches across projects
• Verify data accuracy and run queries to support testing efforts
• Communicate effectively on technical matters and engage actively in meetings and reviews
• Work closely with the team, keeping them informed of progress and obstacles promptly
• Clarify testing activities for other roles, even in complicated situations

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation
• Skilled in using test management tools like Jira and X-Ray
• Familiarity with testing types and processes (ISTQB FL / AT)
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like SerenityBDD, Screenplay, Gherkin-Cucumber, and Karate
• Moderate expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter and K6
• Moderate expertise in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of relational databases including SQL, Oracle, DB2, and PostgreSQL
• Moderate skill in applying data analytics to quality metrics
• Familiarity with software development best practices such as SOLID principles, Clean Code, refactoring, and DRY/DAMP
• Understanding of Agile frameworks or methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
• Strong negotiation skills and flexibility to work with varying team dynamics

Nice to have

• Moderate experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP
• Familiarity with ITIL v4
• Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools like GitHub Copilot and Windsurf
• Certification in AI tools, ideally GitHub Copilot (certifications in Claude, Gemini, GPT, or Grok also accepted)
• Understanding of AI-driven test execution agents and AI-assisted development practices
