Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a

high-performing Digital Technology team supporting Merchant Services Onboarding

initiatives. This role focuses on designing and developing scalable backend

applications and APIs that drive critical business processes.

The

ideal candidate will have strong enterprise-level development experience

working with modern Java technologies, microservices architecture, and API

development.

Required

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise-level backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Java
  • Spring Framework
  • Spring Boot
  • Microservices Architecture
  • RESTful API Development
• Experience building and supporting scalable, high-availability applications
• Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment

Preferred

Qualifications

• JavaScript experience
• Experience working on customer-facing digital platforms
• Familiarity with cloud-based and distributed application architectures

Key

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and enhance microservices-based applications
• Develop, test, and support REST APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $64.00/hr.
