About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with expertise in blockchain technology to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is based in London, UK, with a hybrid work model that combines remote work with onsite collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-grade backend services and blockchain components supporting our digital asset platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, DevOps, security specialists, and product owners, to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that meet the highest industry standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Java development and blockchain technology, with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience. Backend Engineering
- Design and develop enterprise-grade backend services using Java, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- Build robust APIs and microservices to support digital asset products and services.
- Develop systems that are resilient, high-performing, and compliant with banking and industry standards.
- Implement best practices for security, performance tuning, and system reliability.
- Implement blockchain-related business logic and workflows, including smart contract interactions and asset management processes.
- Develop components supporting minting, burning, asset transfer flows, and wallet management capabilities.
- Integrate external blockchain networks into the client’s digital asset ecosystem, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability.
- Build integrations with digital asset custody providers, wallet services, and blockchain infrastructure platforms.
- Develop connectivity solutions with third-party services to enhance platform capabilities.
- Participate in SaaS blockchain platform implementation projects, ensuring smooth deployment and operation.
- Adhere to secure coding principles and participate in architecture reviews to enhance system security.
- Contribute to operational readiness, including monitoring, incident management, and support activities.
- Support compliance, audit, and security requirements by implementing necessary controls and documentation.
- Work effectively within cross-functional agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Partner with Architects, DevOps, Security, and Blockchain Operations teams to align on technical strategies.
- Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing across engineering teams to foster continuous learning.
