Title: Java Full Stack Developer (Spring Boot & JSF / PrimeFaces)

Location: Finland (100% Remote — Candidates based near Tampere, Oulu, Helsinki, or Turku preferred)

Contract Duration: 12 Oct 2026 – 31 Dec 2026 (Freelance B2B Contract, high likelihood of extension into 2027)

Workload: Full-Time (100% / 37.5 Hours per Week)

Languages: Fluent Finnish (Mandatory) & English


Position Summary:


We are seeking a Finnish-speaking Intermediate Java Full Stack Developer for a 100% remote contract engagement supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of an enterprise work obligation register solution (TVR application). In this role, you will work on an independent Spring Boot Web architecture utilizing modern JSF frontend technologies (Jakarta Faces 4.0 and PrimeFaces 15) and MySQL databases.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Application Development: Maintain and build core functional features for an independent Spring Boot Web application handling work obligation records.
  • Frontend UI Design: Develop responsive web interfaces using Jakarta Faces 4.0 (XHTML) and PrimeFaces 15.
  • Database Management: Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and database structures on MySQL 8.4.x.
  • CI/CD & Dependencies: Manage project dependencies via Maven and participate in repository/version management workflows hosted on Azure DevOps.
  • Architecture Alignment: Collaborate with software architects to ensure scalable, maintainable, and robust system architecture.


Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Core Java & Backend: Hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot Web, and Maven.
  • JSF Frontend Tech: Proven competency with Jakarta Faces 4.0, PrimeFaces 15, and XHTML web interface development.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid hands-on proficiency with MySQL 8.4.x.
  • Tooling: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for code repositories and version control.
  • Language Proficiency:Fluent written and spoken Finnish (strictly mandatory) and English.
