At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer (QE) to join our team in Brazil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transforming, and multicultural environment.
Position Overview
As a Quality Engineer (QE), you will play a pivotal role in supporting and evolving a strategic webhook-based integration solution. This role transcends traditional testing; you will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams, you will prevent defects, enhance automation, improve test coverage, and establish scalable quality practices. Leveraging Agentic SDLC and AI-powered engineering capabilities, you will accelerate test design, automation, codebase analysis, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Engineer (QE) — Webhook Project
- Own and evolve the quality strategy for the webhook solution.
- Become deeply familiar with the existing codebase, architecture, APIs, integrations, and business workflows.
- Design and execute functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites across appropriate layers of the application.
- Validate webhook events, payloads, responses, retries, error handling, and failure scenarios.
- Test integrations across dependent systems and identify potential integration risks.
- Validate authentication, authorization, permissions, and security-related scenarios.
- Define quality gates and release-readiness criteria.
- Identify defects early and work collaboratively with engineers to diagnose and resolve them.
- Perform root-cause analysis and help improve overall quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must-have Skills:
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
