[Job - 31827] Senior Data Architect, Colombia

As a Data Architect Senior, you turn ideas into reliable, well-engineered data systems using current technology. This role is central to improving how dependable our data systems are and to making cross-team work go more smoothly. You guide newer team members as they grow in their roles, partner with different teams to make sure the data setup works well for everyone, and explain complex data concepts in simple terms. You are the person who takes our data capabilities to the next level while keeping the team learning and thinking in new ways.

This is a leadership-level position and one of the practice's hardest profiles to fill, because it requires deep, current hands-on technical expertise combined with the maturity to guide teams through change and to represent the data architecture in strategic conversations.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture Vision: Define and communicate the long-term data architecture vision, aligned with business strategy.

• Technology Selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies, frameworks, and standards used to implement the data architecture.

• Standards & Governance: Establish and promote best practices for data management and governance across the organization.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with leadership teams and stakeholders to ensure the data architecture meets business needs, explaining technical concepts in accessible terms.

• Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and anticipate complex technical challenges, proposing innovative and effective solutions.

• Technical Guidance: Provide advanced technical guidance and support to the data development and architecture teams.

• Compliance: Ensure the data architecture complies with data security regulations and standards.

• Mentorship: Mentor and empower team members by sharing knowledge and experience, guiding newer members as they grow into their roles.

• Strategy Execution: Actively participate in defining and executing the organization's data strategy.

• Partner Relationships: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with technology partners and suppliers.

• Representation: Represent the data architecture in internal and external technical and strategic forums.

Requirements:

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure Cloud Services

• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing

• Experience with DBT for data transformation

• Experience with data modeling, ELT design, and performance tuning

• Advanced English proficiency, spoken and written, to engage directly with international stakeholders

• Proven experience mentoring and guiding technical teams through change

Nice to Have:

• Snowflake certification

• Experience with data governance and security
