Junior Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, remote Junior Accountant role. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate general ledgers for client companies. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting senior team members with financial reporting and analysis. The role will also involve organizing financial documentation and helping ensure compliance with firm policies and relevant accounting standards. The Junior Accountant will work closely with Controllers and CFOs to support client engagements and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), and solid Excel skills for spreadsheets and basic analysis.
• Ability to prepare and review basic financial statements, support month-end close processes, and assist with bookkeeping tasks.
• Understanding of GAAP Accounting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and clients professionally.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple client tasks and meet deadlines.
• Capacity to learn quickly in a fast-paced advisory environment and adapt to evolving client needs and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Interest in corporate finance, M&A, or advisory services; prior internship or experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is a plus.
