The Role
Pinkcollar is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and growth-driven Junior Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure smooth financial processes, manage accounts, optimise efficiency through technology, and support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include:
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely invoicing to clients and on-time payments to local and overseas vendors.
- Handle monthly account closing process, including reconciliation of bank accounts, organising business transactions, as well as finalising monthly financial figures for reporting purposes
- Manage petty cash, ensuring accurate tracking, reconciliation, and proper closing of the petty cash account each month.
- Manage monthly payroll and process staff reimbursements and claims, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements using digital accounting software
- Coordinate with auditors and tax agents for statutory audits and tax obligations, including SST and WHT tax.
- Improve accounting and operational processes, including exploring automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support budget planning and cash flow management, assisting the manager in financial analysis to control costs and improve financial performance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments, such as e-invoice requirements, to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support general finance and other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certificate in Finance, Accounting, or related fields (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
- At least 4 years of proven experience in a finance and accounting role, with hands-on exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and process improvements.
- Prior experience working in an SME or startup environment.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, accounting treatments, and tax regulations.
