As a Junior AI Automation Developer, you will work on the technical side of financial systems to ensure data flows correctly between different software platforms. We are currently working with a Brussels-based partner to improve how they handle large volumes of financial data through smarter automation. This role is fully remote, allowing you to focus on building precise technical solutions from your own workspace.
About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting works at the intersection of finance processes and the systems that support them. We specialize in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics, helping finance teams fix platforms that never delivered on their promises. While we build new systems from scratch, much of our work involves remediating existing setups in Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and Power BI. We focus on the numbers side of the house, ensuring that consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and reporting pipelines reflect how a finance team actually operates. Our approach moves away from typical implementation theatre. We prioritize finance-first configurations and fixed-price engagements, giving our clients certainty before any work begins. We do not believe in keeping clients dependent on us. Instead, we build administrator training and documentation into every project so teams can run their systems independently after go-live. We are a remote-first team of consultants who understand that a dashboard is only useful if the data is accurate to the cent and available the morning a period closes. Whether it is a cloud migration or a complex forecasting model, we value precision over presentation.
What You Will Do
Configure basic automated scripts to move data between financial databases and reporting tools.
Assist in setting up automated alerts to identify data discrepancies in consolidation reports.
Test and document automated workflows to ensure they meet the specific needs of finance teams.
Update existing automation scripts within Oracle EPM or SAP BPC to handle new reporting requirements.
Work alongside senior consultants to map out logic for intercompany elimination routines.
Create technical documentation that explains how our automation tools work for client administrators.
Monitor automated data pipelines during period-end closes to ensure accuracy and speed.
Research new ways to apply simple logical steps to recurring data entry tasks to reduce manual effort.
What We Are Looking For
A fundamental understanding of financial concepts such as assets, liabilities, and basic accounting cycles.
Familiarity with logic-based tools, whether through basic programming, advanced Excel formulas, or low-code automation platforms.
High attention to detail, especially when working with numbers and large datasets where precision is required.
A curious mindset regarding how different software systems exchange information.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while communicating clearly through written channels.
Educational background in business, finance, or a technical field that requires analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Willingness to learn the intricacies of Enterprise Performance Management software like Oracle or SAP.
What We Offer
A permanent, full-time role with a focus on deep technical work rather than corporate presentation.
The ability to work from anywhere in a remote-first culture that respects focused time and avoids unnecessary meetings.
Direct exposure to high-level finance projects for major international organizations.
Competitive and attractive pay that reflects the technical nature of the work and the current market.
Internal training in specialized tools that are essential for large-scale corporate finance and analytics.
A professional environment where we prioritize clear, scoped deliverables and honest communication.
The chance to build systems that remain useful and maintainable long after a project ends.
How We Work Our philosophy is centered on providing clients with clear results and the autonomy to maintain their own systems. We avoid the open-ended, billable-hour model that often leaves projects unfinished or overly complicated. By utilizing fixed-price engagements, we ensure that every automation we build has a defined purpose and a clear finish line. This approach requires our developers to be precise and efficient, knowing that the quality of their code directly impacts the reliability of a client's financial close. We value clarity over jargon and results over theatre, ensuring that the finance teams we serve have total confidence in their numbers at all times.
