Junior AI Engineer - Career G rowth, F lexibility and Collaboration! Location: Barcelona (Hybrid, 3 days onsite) Job type: Permanent, full-time Entrust is seeking a highly motivated Junior AI Engineer to join the AI Team, led by the Director of AI and Automation. This role will drive innovation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations across all departments, ensuring streamlined processes and operational excellence. In addition, the selected candidate will help define, prototype, and validate next-generation digital security solutions for Agentic AI systems, contributing to the development of innovative products and capabilities in this rapidly evolving space. The candidate will support the implementation of the innovation pipeline (Pilot → MVP → Production), with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI/ML technologies. Key Responsibilities Analyze and Innovate: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, define, and execute high-impact innovation projects within Entrust’s security product segments. Development: Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions integrating AI technologies as aligned with project needs. Collaborative: Excel in sharing and defending ideas constructively while fostering teamwork for collaborative development, ensuring alignment and shared success across teams. RESTful APIs: Develop and optimize REST APIs for robust and efficient communication between application components and microservices. Scalable Solutions: Demonstrate expertise in applying continuous integration and delivery principles while designing and providing scalable, efficient solutions. Documentation: Create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation to ensure system clarity and usability. Testing: Establish and maintain robust testing practices to ensure system reliability. Cloud Computing: Leverage cloud platforms to deploy scalable and cost-effective solutions. Required Skills The listed skills are mandatory, and candidates must demonstrate proficiency in these areas to be considered . Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems, evaluate solutions, and make informed decisions that contribute to project success. Generative AI and Agent Development: + 1 year experience Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and practical experience building AI agents, either programmatically or with AI coding tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code. AI Agent Architecture and Protocols: Understanding of AI agent architectures, tool orchestration, memory, planning, evaluation, and emerging interoperability protocols such as MCP and A2A. AI Development Frameworks and Platforms: Familiarity with AI development frameworks and platforms such as LangChain , Semantic Kernel, AutoGen , Anthropic SDK , Microsoft Foundry, or comparable tooling. Proficiency in: Git for version control and collaborative development. Docker for containerization. Linux operation system and scripting. Programming Skills: + 2 years’ experience and expertise in 3 (or more) Object Oriented languages (preferred Go and/or Python), Design Patterns and UML. Web API Development: Familiarity with REST API design principles and implementation. Database Design: SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB).
