Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. The following responsibilities will be in your domain: S upporting the planning and implementation of water monitoring and aquatic assessment projects and field programs ; primarily in the Yukon, but also potentially across Canada. P articipating in and leading water quality monitoring and aquatic resource field studies, including preparing and organizing field equipment and supporting field data collection. Conducting assessments focused on fish habitat, fish communities and health, integrating elements in areas such as geomorphology, limnology, hydrology, water/sediment quality, and benthic invertebrate communities. Conducting water sampling programs, including surface water, groundwater, and hydrological monitoring. Managing data contributing to / leading report development. Contributing expertise to large multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with senior staff, clients, government agencies, First Nations, regulators, and other project partners. Representing Trinity Consultants Canada - Water & Ecology in the scientific community through high-quality deliverables, industry engagement, and participation in technical conferences. THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR Professional Biologist ( R.P.Bio .), Environmental Professional (EP), or equivalent professional designation ( or eligibility for registration ). Minimum of 3 -5 years of relevant experience, including relevant field assessments and data management . K nowledge of statistical analysis Experience in the mining sector is an asset. Experience designing and implementing baseline assessment programs, including the selection , establishment, and monitoring of water, sediment, fish, fish habitat, and benthic invertebrate community sampling stations. Effective analytical and technical editing and review skills, and ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality reports and proposals. Ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences including team members, clients, regulators, and stakeholders. Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, excellence, and ethics. Hands-on expertise in planning and conducting aquatic field programs using a variety of sampling techniques for water, sediment, benthic invertebrates, fish, and fish habitat, including the design, establishment, and sampling of benthic invertebrate community monitoring stations; familiarity with QA/QC protocols and data integrity standards. Experience operating boats and outboard motors in support of aquatic field programs is an asset. Ability and willingness to travel to remote or northern project sites and conduct fieldwork in variable weather, terrain, and seasonal conditions.
