Marshall Group is the audio, tech, and design powerhouse uniting musicians and music lovers through genre-breaking innovation. Our flagship brand, Marshall, is uniquely positioned with over 60 years of rock ‘n’ roll attitude on stage, at home, and on the go. Our iconic products are brought to life by a dedicated team of 800 passionate employees and sold in over 90 markets worldwide.
What you’ll do:
As an Audio & Acoustics Engineer, you’ll be a key member of project teams, working alongside other engineering and design specialists as well as our ODM partners to secure and validate the acoustic design for our loudspeakers. You’ll work with simulations, prototyping, measurement, and subjective evaluations to achieve the best possible performance, and join a growing team of passionate engineers with a wealth of experience from across the audio industry. Goals and development opportunities can be tailored to your individual strengths and areas of interest.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Contribute to product development projects as a member of the audio & acoustics team.
Perform acoustic and audio electronics measurements and subjective evaluation.
Contribute to product documentation, development tests, and production test specifications.
Collaborate with external partners to take internally developed acoustic concepts into production-ready products.
Develop DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to support hardware functionality and achieve the desired product voicing.
Validate all aspects of the audio design through hands-on measurements and by leveraging vendor resources.
Who we’re looking for:
Someone with a strong interest in audio and acoustics and a genuine drive to build products that impact people’s daily lives. You’re self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and take initiative. You can create and communicate design solutions fluently in English, both spoken and written, and you enjoy collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
You probably have the following experiences & skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in acoustic engineering or a relevant field.
Good knowledge of theoretical acoustics, signal processing, and audio technologies.
Familiarity with standard acoustic measurement procedures and common test equipment.
Basic knowledge of acoustic simulations (e.g., lumped-parameter models, boundary elements, or finite element modelling).
Familiarity with audio electronics for active loudspeaker systems.
Knowledge of and interest in product development for consumer electronics.
It’s a plus if you have:
Relevant work experience, or school or personal projects, in audio and acoustic engineering.
Experience in requirements management and defining requirements towards external development partners, preferably in China.
Experience in audio electronics (e.g., DSP chipsets, real-time audio, audio amplifiers).
DSP and real-time audio programming experience, BT chipset frameworks, or building digital and software-based audio systems.
Knowledge of key loudspeaker components such as drivers, bass-reflex ports, and passive radiators.
An understanding of requirement handling and test procedures.
Our pledge:
We strive to foster an inclusive workplace, and we do not discriminate based on race, religion, disability, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age or marital status. We firmly believe that Marshall thrives when our employees do, leading to better experiences for our consumers.
We encourage applications from all over the world. To enable transitioning from another country for a role at Marshall, we offer relocation support. This support is tailored for each role but always includes visa/work permit application, local authority registration, and home-finding service. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
