Junior Automation Specialist

We are looking for a Junior Automation Specialist to join our team as we support a major financial services provider with their internal management systems. This role is a full-time, permanent position that is performed entirely from a remote setting. You will help us translate management habits into simple, automated workflows that keep teams organized and tasks moving forward.

About the role
Olive Tree works to remove the friction that happens when teams grow. For our current engagement with a large financial services provider, we are finding that many manual tasks are slowing down their decision-making process. This role exists to build and maintain the small, reliable automations that capture these decisions and update the right people without requiring extra meetings. You will be helping to bridge the gap between how a team wants to work and the tools they use to stay on track. This is not about building complex software, but about creating clear paths for information to flow.

What you will do

• Build simple workflows to automate meeting follow-ups and task assignments across different platforms.
• Maintain the internal documentation that explains how these automations work so anyone on the team can understand them.
• Check that automated records match what was discussed in management sessions to ensure accuracy.
• Work with our consultants to identify repetitive administrative steps that can be handled by software instead of people.
• Test new integrations to make sure data moves correctly between different planning and tracking tools.
• Update task lists and project trackers for the financial services client to reflect current priorities.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues in the workflows we have built to keep them running smoothly.

• A background in a field that requires precise record-keeping or very structured thinking.
• A basic understanding of how different web applications connect and share information.
• Curiosity about how to make software work for people, rather than the other way around.
