Our partner is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join their remote team and contribute to data-driven healthcare innovation. As a Junior Data Scientist, you will analyze complex datasets, build predictive models, create business insights, and support the development of intelligent healthcare solutions.

Accountabilities

The Junior Data Scientist will support the development of data-driven solutions and AI initiatives while working closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyze clinical, operational, and patient datasets to identify meaningful insights and trends.
• Build, test, and improve machine learning models for predictive healthcare applications.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis to support business decisions.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using modern BI tools.
• Clean, prepare, validate, and transform structured and unstructured datasets.
• Support AI-powered healthcare initiatives and predictive analytics projects.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to deploy data-driven solutions.
• Improve data quality, reliability, and analytical workflows.
• Automate recurring reporting and data analysis processes.
• Document methodologies, experiments, and analytical findings.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a curious and motivated professional with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in machine learning, healthcare analytics, and AI technologies.

Required qualifications and skills include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, or a related technical role, or strong personal projects demonstrating analytical skills.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience working with structured datasets and data cleaning techniques.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Passion for AI, Machine Learning, healthcare technology, and continuous learning.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working with healthcare data or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of APIs and large-scale datasets.
• Kaggle competitions, bootcamp projects, GitHub portfolio, or personal Data Science projects.
• Exposure to Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs) is considered a plus.
