The role:

Monaco Solicitors is a UK employment law firm that acts exclusively for employees, never employers. From settlement agreements to tribunal claims, we're one of the country's leading specialists in individual employment rights: Law Society Excellence Awards winner, recognised for our legal technology, and our founder literally wrote the book on settlement agreements.

We're looking for a solicitor up to around three years' PQE who wants to become seriously good at claimant employment law. You'll run real matters from early on, settlement agreements first, building to grievances, exits, discrimination and tribunal work, with proper supervision from senior lawyers who see developing you as part of their job, not an interruption to it.

And you'll practise the way law is starting to be practised everywhere: we're AI-native, so the admin that eats a junior lawyer's first years is largely automated, and your time goes where you actually learn, clients, judgement, negotiation, and the law.

You don't need an employment-law background. A seat, a related area, or simply excellent legal work somewhere else, if you can show us quality and you want the employee's side of the table, we want to hear from you.

How our process works:

You will:

Run your own matters early, settlement agreements first, with real responsibility and real supervision, growing your caseload as you grow
Advise people in genuine distress with clarity and empathy: first they need to feel heard, then they need the realistic position, in that order
Learn negotiation as a craft: most of our clients' best outcomes never see a hearing room
Work daily with our AI tooling, drafting, case preparation, knowledge, as an amplifier for your judgement while you build it
Contribute from the start: our precedents, our processes and our free guidance all improve because someone junior asked "why?"

What you will need:

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, NQ to around 3 years' PQE
• Evidence of excellent legal work, from any practice area: matters you can talk through, outcomes you contributed to, and the honesty to say what was yours
• Genuine appetite for the employee's side of the table, we'll ask why, and "it pays the same either way" isn't the answer
• Plain English: our whole brand is built on it, and clients in crisis don't need Latin
• Comfort with AI in your daily work, and a clear view of where you do and don't trust it
