Junior Financial & Operational Analyst
Role Summary
We are seeking a versatile and sharp Financial Analyst to bridge the gap between financial planning and day-to-day operational execution. In this role, you will analyze financial performance, optimize business processes, and support strategic decision-making through rigorous data analysis and reporting.
While experience in the collection/debt recovery industry is a massive plus, we value raw analytical horsepower, expert-level technical toolsets, and a fast-learning mindset just as much. You will work closely with executive leadership to track key business metrics, streamline reporting frameworks, and unearth operational insights.
Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Close Support: Assist with the monthly and annual financial close by managing expense allocations, variance analysis, and preparing comprehensive management reporting packages.
- Operational & Strategic Analysis: Evaluate the value and ROI of current operational strategies, workflows, and tactics; deliver actionable recommendations to maximize efficiency.
- Acquisition & Capital Analysis: Build and maintain financial models to support corporate development initiatives, acquisition targeting, and capital ROI evaluations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with leadership to assist with annual financial planning, recurring re-forecasting, and ongoing departmental budget tracking.
- Ad Hoc Business Intelligence: Serve as an internal analytics partner for day-to-day operational requests, translating complex datasets into clear, decision-ready insights.
- Automation & Tool Management: Design, build, and maintain advanced reporting templates, automated data pipelines, and dashboards using robust Excel automation tools.
Financial Analyst Required Qualifications
- Technical Mastery: Advanced/Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills are non-negotiable, including advanced VBA, Macro development, and complex data modeling. Experience with SQL or database management tools is strongly preferred.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong background in general data analysis, corporate finance, or operational analytics with a proven ability to turn raw data into strategic direction.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Prior exposure or working knowledge of the collection agency industry, recovery metrics, or consumer finance cycles is a significant advantage.
- Attributes: Fast learner who is comfortable working autonomously in a remote/hybrid environment, with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Experience Level: Open. We are open to hiring a high-potential early career analyst or a seasoned professional—for this position, fit and capability matter more than experience.
