Junior Financial Controller

The Junior Financial Controller supports manufacturing and operational controlling activities, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, cost transparency, and margin analysis. The role provides financial support to production, sourcing, and project teams, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes. The position also supports audit activities, internal controls, and finance process improvements including reporting automation. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Controlling Support accurate inventory valuation, ensuring that stock is properly recorded and valued Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and support explanation of key differences Assist in maintaining standard costs and ensuring they reflect operational reality Prepare and maintain manufacturing cost reporting, including component-level analysis Planning & Budgeting Support the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Finance and operational teams Help analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast Project Controlling Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts Assist in financial planning activities related to projects Support the identification of opportunities to improve and automate processes Audit & Compliance Support internal and external audit processes Contribute to inventory depreciation and warranty provision assessments Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling 2–5 years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment Initial experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costing methodologies is a strong advantage Strong analytical skills; experience with financial analysis or modeling is a plus Experience with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong advantage) and reporting tools Fluency in English required; German is an advantage Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good understanding of manufacturing environments and cost structures (e.g. BOMs, standard costs is a plus) Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, sourcing, and finance teams Structured and detail-oriented way of working Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to process improvements Good communication skills, with the ability to explain financial topics to non-finance stakeholders Meaningful activity on products that enable a personalized therapy for patients Flat hierarchy, short decision-making processes, interdisciplinary collaboration Opportunity to contribute and develop your skills in an agile company Policy for unsolicited applications from recruiters and recruitment agencies We do not accept any unsolicited applications from recruiters or recruitment agencies without a prior written agreement between both parties.
