The Role
As a Junior Global Pharmacovigilance Data Analyst (m/f/d), you will support the generation of reports, perform data analyses and help ensure the quality and integrity of pharmacovigilance data. You will learn from experienced colleagues while gradually taking ownership of increasingly complex reporting and data management activities.
What You'll Do
- Generate accurate periodic and ad-hoc reports from pharmacovigilance database.
- Develop, validate and standardize SQL and PL/SQL queries.
- Support the development of innovative automation solutions using technologies such as VBA and AI.
- Translate business needs into reliable reporting solutions.
- Investigate data-quality issues, identify root causes and coordinate resolution.
- Partner with other PV technology team, Safety Writing, Regulatory, IT and other global functions.
- Support improvements to reporting tools (Cognos based), processes and systems.
Your Profile
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Life Sciences or a related field
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience, including internships, working student positions or entry-level roles
- Curiosity, logical and critical thinking, and a strong learning mindset.
- Self-motivation and ownership of your work and professional development.
- Experience with pharmacovigilance database reporting, SQL and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex data and explain findings clearly.
- Strong collaboration, organization and attention to data quality.
Valuable, But Not Essential
- Experience with Cognos reporting tools
- Knowledge of VBA or other reporting automation technologies
- Basic knowledge of Japanese, although this is purely a nice-to-have skill
