Job Description

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our global IT & Security team. This role is a key contributor to Songtradr’s day-to-day technology operations, acting as the first point of contact for employee IT support and ensuring our devices, systems, and workplace technology operate reliably and securely.

Reporting into the IT function, this role focuses on hands-on support delivery, incident resolution, and execution of established IT processes, while contributing to continuous improvement across tools, documentation, and employee experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting people, and growing their technical capability in a modern, SaaS-driven environment.

You don't need years of experience, you need curiosity, a genuine interest in technology, and the willingness to learn. We'll teach you the rest.

Main Job Duties

Your role would include, but not be limited to the following:

IT Support & Service Delivery

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests via HaloITSM
  • Provide timely, professional support for hardware, software, and access-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, peripheral, and basic networking issues
  • Escalate incidents appropriately when issues require higher-level investigation

Device & Endpoint Support

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Install and support authorized software and operating systems
  • Ensure devices are maintained in a secure and operational state through updates and patches
  • Support meeting room technology, phones, and collaboration tools

User & Access Support

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup and account provisioning
  • Administer changes to individual and group user permissions under defined processes
  • Support user lifecycle activities in collaboration with IT and People Operations
  • Execute approved access requests under supervision, following documented procedures

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets including laptops, peripherals, and licenses
  • Support device lifecycle activities such as replacements, upgrades, and returns

Process & Documentation

  • Follow documented IT procedures and support workflows
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to tools, processes, or documentation

Project Support

  • Participate in planned IT projects such as system upgrades, office technology improvements, and tool rollouts
  • Assist senior team members with operational initiatives as required

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Some exposure to IT support, helpdesk, or a customer-facing technical role — this can include internships, apprenticeships, study, or hands-on personal projects
  • Strong customer service mindset with clear, professional communication skills
  • Comfortable using macOS and Windows; willing to learn to support both
  • Familiarity with SaaS-based tools and modern workplace technology
  • Ability to follow structured processes while adapting to new situations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to learning and improving how things work
  • Working proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus but not required

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of identity, access, or device management concepts
  • Any relevant certification or coursework (CompTIA A+, Google Workspace, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar)
  • Experience with scripting or automation, however basic

What You'll Learn

This is a role designed to grow into. You'll work alongside experienced specialists who'll support you day to day, with structured onboarding and time set aside for learning. Over your first year you'll build hands-on experience with:

  • Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Identity and access management, including SSO and multi-factor authentication
  • Device management and endpoint security across macOS and Windows
  • ITSM practice and service management in HaloITSM
  • The security and compliance side of IT, including our work toward ISO 27001 and SOC 2

There's a clear path from here toward specialising in systems administration or security.

Personal Attributes

  • You enjoy helping others and take pride in delivering great support
  • You are reliable, organized, and solutions-oriented
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
  • You are comfortable working independently while collaborating with a wider team
  • You are curious and motivated to grow your technical skills over time
