Junior Legal Specialist

Your mission

We are seeking a Legal & Regulatory Specialist in Colombia with an analytical mindset, proactive drive, and strong eagerness to learn to join our legal team. In this role, you will serve as a key operational support pillar in structuring, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance for our expanding operations across high-growth sectors.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Tracking & Analysis: Monitor and analyze emerging regulatory developments across Latin America, focusing in Colombian Market.

• Impact Assessment & Compliance: Assist in evaluating operational impacts of new legal frameworks to support local and cross-border regulatory compliance.

• Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft and review commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and vendor documentation under senior guidance.

• Regulatory & External Relations: Liaise with regulatory bodies and external legal counsel to secure operational approvals and preserve entities in good standing.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner side-by-side with Product, Finance, Compliance, HR, and Business Development teams to align regulatory strategies.

• Legal Reporting & Opinions: Prepare comprehensive legal reports, briefs, and opinions to guide strategic, risk-aware decision-making.

Required Skills

• Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) with a demonstrated interest or focus in Corporate or Regulatory Law.

• Professional Experience:E xperience (practical experience in Fintech, Banks and other similar sectors).

• Regulatory Knowledge: General familiarity with Colombia's regulatory environments and licensing processes (desirable, not required).

• Technical Competencies: Practical skills in contract drafting/review and foundational understanding of corporate governance.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset.

• Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish (both required). Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantageous plus.
