NELSON is currently looking for Mechanical Engineer with zero to five years of experience. The position will develop experience in the following areas: · Power generation, oil and gas facilities, gas compression, pipelines, and more · ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8 · Creation of P&IDs · HAZOPs or PHAs · Material selection · Sizing and specifying mechanical equipment · Working with lead engineer · Calculation checking and other design tasks · Conducting facility process surveys, determine bottlenecks, make recommendations · Remedy the bottlenecks · Performing basic checks like found in API RP 14C and 14E · Creating construction scopes of work · Working with piping designers to develop drawing deliverables · Develop bills of materials · Working with and coordinating other disciplines to support the project · Creating and maintaining project status reports · Maintaining budgets and schedules · Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering - required · Registered Professional Engineer or EIT preferred.
