Permit Puller provides a comprehensive service that reserves parking spaces for moving trucks, containers, and construction in congested cities across the United States and Canada. You will research locations, apply for permits through city-specific systems, coordinate with local sign posting vendors, and verify billing accuracy. You will work independently while collaborating with the broader team, owning a portfolio of 2-6 major markets at a time. This is a fast-paced role for someone with strong attention to detail and the organizational skills to juggle multiple city-specific processes and deadlines.
What You Will Do As A Junior Permit Coordinator
- Receive, review, and process approved permit requests from MovingPermits.com and sync them to HubSpot
- Research requested addresses using Google Maps and Street View to identify potential issues and confirm accuracy
- Escalate concerns or ambiguous requests to the appropriate team members and document all findings
- Organize and prioritize incoming requests by date and city to meet city-specific lead time requirements
- Apply for permits on city-specific websites within prescribed lead times, following each city’s unique application procedures
- Process permit payments using the company credit card and maintain accurate payment records
- Coordinate with local sign posting vendors to schedule Tow Zone sign placement and communicate site-specific posting instructions
- Identify and escalate potential issues or conflicts with customers before they impact job delivery
- Ensure all permit documents are complete and accurate before delivery to customers
- Review job pricing, line item totals, and billing information for accuracy prior to customer invoicing
- Document and communicate any issues, discrepancies, or mistakes to the team for resolution
What You Will Bring As A Junior Permit Coordinator
- Minimum 1 year of office or administrative experience
- Strong command of English, both oral and written
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight, non-negotiable deadlines
- Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new web-based applications and databases
- Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Preferred: experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot
- Preferred: familiarity with permit or regulatory processes, online government portals, or municipal systems
- Preferred: knowledge of specific cities’ parking regulations or right-of-way policies
- Proven experience working with US based business teams
- Excellent written and communication skills in English language
- This role requires full and ongoing overlap with Porch’s U.S. EST business hours (7:30 PM IST – 3:30 AM IST). A Night Shift Allowance is applicable for this position in line with company policy.
