Junior Project Analyst - Co-op (Student)

Role Overview

Mining companies use VRIFY to show investors what's underground. We're moving every client to Present, our next-generation platform, and we need someone to help make it happen.

As a Junior Project Analyst, you'll build and test the interactive 3D presentations that mining companies use to tell their story. You'll shape how each deck looks, applying colour schemes, laying out slides, and helping create the base V3 design that every client project starts from. You'll also help run the projects behind them: tracking timelines and tasks, flagging risks early, and coordinating between our Data, 3D, and Production teams so each migration stays on schedule. Along the way, you'll check that the data works and track down missing files before they hold anything up. The work is hands-on and detail-driven, and it directly speeds up how fast our clients go live on Present.

You don't need a mining background. We'll teach you the industry and the platform. You bring an eye for design, strong organization, and care for getting the details right.

Present rollout and migration support

• Support the migration of client projects from Legacy to Present by completing routine build tasks, including setting colour schemes and importing drilling data for each slide.
• Build and maintain a base deck in Present that mirrors the current Legacy standard, giving the team a consistent starting point for every migration.
• Track migration tasks and progress against project timelines, and flag delays to the Project Analyst team.

Data and file coordination

• Identify missing or incomplete data in client projects before and during migration.
• Coordinate file transfers with the Data, 3D, Production, and Strategic Advisor teams so projects have what they need on time.
• Organize project data files so they are easy for the wider team to find and use.

Project coordination

• Track tasks, deadlines, and milestones for assigned Present migrations in Asana.
• Flag delays, missing inputs, and risks to the Project Analyst team early.
• Keep project status and files up to date so teammates can pick up work without a handoff.

Testing and quality assurance

• Test Present decks to confirm data loads correctly and every slide works as intended.
• Document issues found during testing and route them to the right team for resolution.
• Proofread visualization materials for accuracy and consistency with project specifications.

Team support

• Take on manual processes and administrative tasks.
• Assist with updates and press releases and related changes to visualization projects under the direction of a Project Analyst.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently enrolled in a co-op program in communications, business, marketing, design, geology, geoscience, mining, GIS, data management, or a related field.
• A strong eye for visual design, including layout, colour, and consistency across a presentation.
• Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to track several tasks and deadlines at once.
• Strong attention to detail, with the patience to complete repetitive, slide-by-slide work accurately.
• Clear, professional written communication for flagging issues and coordinating across teams.
• Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, including sorting, filtering, and checking data for gaps.
• Comfort learning new software quickly and following a documented process.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow a process consistently, and ask for help early when blocked.

Assets

• Experience with design or presentation tools such as Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or PowerPoint.
• Coursework or experience in project management or coordination, including tracking deadlines across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with a project management tool such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.
• Prior co-op, internship, or part-time work in an office, agency, or client-facing setting.
• Interest in mining, natural resources, or technology.
• Strong attention to detail, with the patience to complete repetitive, slide-by-slide tasks accurately.
• Familiarity with mining or exploration data, such as drillhole data, assays, or geological models.
• Exposure to 3D visualization or GIS software (for example Leapfrog, ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).
• Experience with project management tools like Asana.
• Previous experience testing software or checking work against a specification.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a technical, data, or project coordination role.

Training provided

• Mining and exploration data basics, including how drilling data is structured and presented.
• VRIFY's Legacy and Present platforms, deck design standards, and testing process.
• VRIFY's project workflows and how our Data, 3D, and Production teams work together.

Terms of Employment

• Fixed-term co-op work term, remote in Canada. Runs January to April 2027, with the possibility of extension based on business need.
• Full-time hours during the work term, aligned to your co-op program.
• Compensation: $25.00 CAD per hour
• Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-op or internship program.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
