Junior Risk Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity on our EDF Project Controls Resource Framework, to be involved in the exciting challenge of defueling and decommissioning the AGR nuclear power station. This is a first of a kind endeavour in the UK. This is an exciting entry level Project Controls / Risk Trainee opportunity where you will learn about risk management processes to implement improvements across the organisation. You will be working together with Project Managers and project teams to enhance content and communication relating to risk.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be supporting the business in several areas including:
• Documenting improvements and embedding those improvements throughout your area.
• Capturing requirements for improvements to systems and process

• Rolling out training on 2 risk systems

  This role requires you to establish and contribute towards effective open communication across the project delivery teams, stations and stakeholders as you will be assisting with the implementation of enhancements to an existing risk management processes. You will need to report to a risk principle on all aspects of this implementation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

• Evidence of potential project controls capability, aptitude to combine both technical and commercial office with site project delivery

• Good logical reasoning and numeracy skills

• Must have knowledge in the use of packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ideally developed knowledge of Excel

• An understanding of the need for Safety and Quality within a project environment

Desirable

• Already holds SC Clearance/BPSS
• Previous experience with stakeholder engagement
• Degree level education
• Existing Safety or business qualifications

Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, project management or relevant technical subject (engineering, science, maths, accounting or economics)
• Or equivalent qualifications or experience.
