Our client is a well-established roofing and waterproofing company serving properties throughout Southern California. They are looking for a Junior Roofing Estimator / Project Coordinator with hands-on roofing knowledge who can review inspection information, photos, measurements, and existing repair scopes to help prepare accurate proposals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands roofing systems, terminology, and basic repair concepts and wants to build their estimating experience within a structured, supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Review inspection reports, project photos, measurements, and other project information.
• Evaluate inspector recommendations and use your roofing knowledge to confirm whether recommended repairs make sense.
• Utilize established scopes of work, repair language, pricing, and rate sheets to prepare estimates.
• Populate standard repair scopes based on inspection findings.
• Enter quantities and pricing using established company rate sheets.
• Organize and review project photos to support proposed repairs.
• Prepare initial proposal drafts for review by the estimating team.
• Work within CompanyCam, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Initially handle estimates generally under $10,000, with estimates expected to take approximately one hour each.
• Complete approximately 6–7 estimates per day initially, with the opportunity to progress toward more complex 2–4 hour estimates.
• Learn the company's estimating processes, systems, pricing, and proposal standards through hands-on training.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of roofing experience required.
• Strong understanding of roofing terminology, roofing systems, and basic repair concepts.
• Roofing knowledge is more important than previous estimating experience.
• Ability to review photos and inspection information and determine whether recommended repairs align with actual roof conditions.
• Comfortable learning established estimating processes and following standardized scopes and pricing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within a structured process.
• Comfortable working with CompanyCam, Salesforce, Word, and Excel, or similar software.
• Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred due to the number of Spanish-language contracts; candidates who are not bilingual should be comfortable using translation tools.
• Must be available Monday–Friday with working hours that have a few hours overlap with Pacific Time business hours.

This is not a position where you'll be expected to develop estimating systems or pricing from scratch. You'll be joining an established process with standard scopes of work, repair language, pricing, rate sheets, and proposal procedures already in place.

The team will provide structured training on their systems and processes, allowing someone with solid roofing knowledge to grow into the estimating side of the business.
