Role Description The Junior SEO Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting SEO initiatives that drive qualified organic traffic and improve visibility for client websites. Day-to-day tasks include conducting keyword research, assisting with on-page optimization, and performing basic SEO audits to identify technical and content-related opportunities. The role involves monitoring performance using web analytics tools, preparing reports, and collaborating with senior team members to implement recommendations. The Junior SEO Specialist will also support link-building activities, coordinate with content and marketing teams, and help maintain SEO best practices across projects. This position is designed for someone eager to learn, apply data-driven insights, and grow within a performance-focused digital agency.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform keyword research and basic on-page SEO optimization, including meta tags, headings, and content structuring.
• Experience or familiarity with SEO audits and technical SEO fundamentals (site structure, crawlability, indexing, page speed).
• Understanding of link building principles, outreach practices, and maintaining high-quality backlink profiles.
• Comfort working with web analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO platforms) to track performance and derive insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Motivation to learn current SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices in fast-changing digital markets.
• Preferred: coursework or experience in digital marketing, marketing, communications, or a related field; prior internship or entry-level experience in SEO is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Web 2.0 Link Building — Create and publish Web 2.0 content at scale in accordance with the overall SEO strategy.
• Website Network Monitoring — Monitor the performance, indexing status, technical health, and SEO metrics of websites within the network.
• Performance Reporting — Prepare regular reports on the performance and key SEO metrics of the website network.
• Keyword Research & Semantic Collection — Collect, analyze, and structure keyword semantics for different SEO tasks and types of pages.
• Link Building Planning — Develop link-building plans, identify priority pages, and define appropriate link acquisition strategies.
• Competitor Analysis — Analyze competitors’ SEO strategies, keyword profiles, backlink profiles, website structures, and content.
• SEO Hypothesis Testing — Develop and test SEO hypotheses, analyze results, and identify opportunities for growth in close collaboration with the SEO Lead.
• SEO Content Review — Review SEO content to ensure compliance with target keywords, content briefs, structure, and SEO requirements.
• Collaboration with SEO Lead — Work closely with the SEO Lead on strategy implementation, task prioritization, testing, and performance analysis.

Compensation & Performance Review

• Salary: $700–800 per month, depending on experience and skill level.
• Performance & Salary Review: Performance and compensation are reviewed every 6 months, based on results, progress, and overall contribution to the team.
