Our international client base continues to grow, and we are looking for a Junior Slide Designer & Scientific Illustrator to join our core team.

Your Role

As a Junior Slide Designer & Scientific Illustrator, you will turn complex research and abstract concepts into clean, visual stories. As part of our Design Team, you will work directly with our clients as well as with our coaches. While you will receive guidance and mentorship, we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of their work and developing towards an increasingly independent role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Slide Design: Redesigning and elevating PowerPoint presentations for clarity and persuasive impact.
• Scientific Illustration: Translating complex data, frameworks, and mechanisms into accessible graphics for grant proposals.
• Client interaction: Conducting design intakes and feedback calls with clients to understand their content, goals, preferences and expectations.

The Candidate We Are Looking For

This is a junior position. We do not expect you to already be an expert in scientific communication. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation, the right mindset and the potential to grow with us.

You are our ideal candidate if you bring the following to the job:

• Design Background (Required): A completed degree/formal education in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative field.
• Scientific Affinity (Big Plus): Proven interest or experience in translating complex academic, medical, or technical concepts.
• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Illustrator, and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
• Growth Mindset: A strong desire to excel, innovate, and continuously sharpen your visual storytelling skills.
• Speed & Precision: Ability to work efficiently, meet strict deadlines, and deliver high-quality work within budgeted hours.
• Language: Excellent written and spoken English (required). Mastery of Dutch is a plus.
• Professional Representation: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of representing our brand with confidence and tact during direct client briefings (both remote and on-site).
• The Netherlands Based: We are based in The Netherlands, and have a preference for candidates who are registered in The Netherlands.

• Flexibility: Remote, flexible contract starting from approximately 16 hours per week. Our strong preference is for someone to join us as an employee, with the opportunity to increase their hours and responsibility over time.

• Salary & Terms: We offer a starting gross monthly salary between €2,750 and €3,250 (for a 40-hour workweek), depending on your qualifications and background.
