Role Description This full-time remote Junior Tax Accountant / Data Entry role supports the firm’s tax and accounting operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include entering and organizing financial data, preparing workpapers, and assisting with the preparation of individual and corporate tax returns (e.g., 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and state/local filings). The role involves maintaining accurate records for corporate bookkeeping, supporting the preparation of financial statements, and helping resolve basic tax and account discrepancies. The Junior Tax Accountant will collaborate with senior staff, follow documented procedures, and meet deadlines during peak tax seasons. The position also requires clear communication with internal team members and adherence to confidentiality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Tax Preparation, Tax Compliance, and general Tax knowledge.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Accounting and working with Financial Statements.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting/tax software.
  • Ability to interpret basic tax documents, follow established processes, and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant internships or entry-level experience in tax or bookkeeping are a plus.
  • High ethical standards, commitment to confidentiality, and willingness to learn and grow under supervision.
