Junior Web Developer

Role Description The Junior Web Developer will support the development and maintenance of web applications and internal tools that enhance DGA’s digital presence and project workflows. In this full-time remote role, the individual will implement front-end user interfaces, assist with back-end functionality, and collaborate with designers and senior developers to translate design concepts into responsive, accessible web experiences. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, well-documented code, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, performing basic testing, and helping optimize site performance. The Junior Web Developer will also contribute to updates of existing sites, assist with integration of new features, and participate in code reviews and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Front-End Development and Web Design, including building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Foundational experience in Back-End Web Development and general Web Development practices.
• Programming skills using common web technologies (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one back-end language or framework).
• Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows.
• Ability to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to writing maintainable code.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards, performance optimization, and basic security practices is a plus.
