Role Overview

The Junior Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing websites and web-based systems for various client projects. This role requires both front-end and back-end development capabilities, strong technical problem-solving skills, and experience working with eCommerce websites and third-party integrations.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced digital agency environment while collaborating remotely with designers, developers, strategists, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize websites and landing pages
• Develop both front-end and back-end website functionalities
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot technical website issues and bugs
• Implement responsive and mobile-friendly web designs
• Manage and maintain eCommerce websites and online store systems
• Integrate and manage third-party applications, APIs, and automation tools
• Handle inventory management system integrations and product management workflows
• Integrate and maintain local and international payment gateways such as GCash, Maya, PayMongo, Xendit, PayPal, Stripe, and similar platforms
• Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to improve user experience and website performance
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, security, SEO, accessibility, and overall performance
• Assist in website updates, maintenance, and ongoing development tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional web development experience
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and modern web development practices
• Experience with front-end and back-end web development
• Proven experience managing eCommerce websites and web-based systems
• Experience working with third-party applications, integrations, and APIs
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and online store operations
• Experience integrating payment gateways and checkout systems
• Understanding of responsive design, UX/UI principles, and website optimization
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Experience working with digital agencies or marketing-focused projects is an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred
